From incredible dried floral installations to super chic attire throughout, we’re so thrilled to share with you Isabelle & Chris’s industrial chic Houston rooftop wedding. With an aura reader booth and delicately textured black plates that have us weak in the knees, this one takes artsy to a new level and we’re absolutely loving it! We can’t get enough of that rooftop ceremony space and the sleek and chic minimalist wedding cake with fresh blackberries—and don’t even get us started on Isabelle’s fashion sense. Muted neutral hues in soft blush and taupe —and plenty of pops of striking black come together to create an aesthetic that falls somewhere between industrial and bohemian…and we’re loving every bit of it.
Clear ghost chairs not only fit this modern, chic rooftop venue, they served a functional purpose, as well. The small rooftop space would have felt cluttered and packed with regular chairs. These ghost chairs created the illusion of more space and didn’t distract from the incredible downtown Houston view.
These floral “ground meadows” were the right touch of organic that tied in the altar florals and softened the industrial rooftop setting.
PRO TIP for those of you dreaming of a rooftop wedding >> look at sunset times and *where* the sunsets to avoid you (or your guests) squinting in all your ceremony photos.
Shout out to floral designer, Flora & Fauna, for creating three incredibly unique and statement making floral installations. Lauren is on my list of favorite Houston florists for her design eye and ability to understand and run with a couple’s vision.
These black textured plates were not in inventory for any rental companies in the area, but they were an essential part of the bride’s vision. Our team was able to work with the rental company to source and supply 100 black rental plates for I&C’s wedding… just in time for this to be come a trend!
An aura reader is one of the most unique vendors we’ve sourced for a wedding. We worked with Carrie Moss to provide a unique guest book for I&C’s guests. Carrie would take an aura photograph of the guests in her yurt providing one copy to the guest with a reading and supplying the other for the couple’s guest book.
Isabelle always showed up to meetings looking as if she’d just stepped out of a fashion magazine. So it was no surprise that her wedding day fashion was above-and-beyond. From her form fitting Sarah Seven (a Skylar Caitlin all-time-favorite dress designer) wedding gown to her chic menswear reception suit with sneakers, we couldn’t stop gushing over her wedding day style.
