Colorful Chic Spring Texas Wedding

From stunning modern florals to sleek black accents, I’m thrilled to share with you Beth & Tyler’s sparkling ballroom wedding. With a sweet ombre cake and luxe velvet napkins that have me weak in the knees, this one takes chic to a level I’m absolutely loving. I can’t get enough of that lounge setting and the delicate floral boutonnieres – and don’t even get us started on those elegant, satin bridesmaids dresses. Bright spring colors in peach, orange, and olive – and a host of textures and shapes come together to create an aesthetic that falls somewhere between modern and classic… and we’re loving every bit of it!

Check out Tyler’s Vogue groom moment with Beth’s bouquet – these little candid detail shots are often some of my absolute favorite! The best way to get a variety of angles & moments is to add on a second shooter to work with your photographer.

Pro Tip: Delicate boutonnieres are stunning, but they are indeed delicate. Nanan of Event by Ova made a second boutonniere for Tyler to swap in as a refresh after the ceremony & family photos took a toll on his original.

This lounge setting might be my new favorite. Beth & Tyler wanted a fun, photo moment for guests that could also double as a place to cool off from the dance floor.

Peep Tyler’s teeth socks, a nod to his recent success of finishing dental school! The couple also honored his “sweet tooth” with a live donut bar station where Donut Junkie created fresh mini-donut bags that guests could add their favorite toppings to. I’m a simple cinnamon-sugar girl myself.

Pro Tip: Want to include a neon sign in you wedding day? It’s key for photography to purchase a LED sign rather than traditional neon. Traditional neon is a constantly pulsing light which is captured by the camera’s shutter whereas LED is a steady flow of energy. Beth & Tyler’s sign had a silicone cover over the lights which made the sign even clearer for images.

This wedding party was such a blast! I can always can tell who my couple really is based on the people they surround themselves with. This group was fun, helpful, and kind throughout the whole day.

This dreamy seating chart from Jamie Lindley Lettering was the perfect wow moment upon entrance to the ballroom. There’s something about a classic, mirrored sign that makes my heart flutter.

Florists who use unique containers have my heart! The guest tables had a mixture of black, white, and clear containers, candlestick holders, and votives. This eclectic mix creates a unique look on each table. Plus that cut glass created incredible ambiance once the candles were lit.

Beth & Tyler’s headtable was a showstopper. To work with the wood tabletop, we swapped out some of the tablescape items (like olive for tangerine napkins and gold beaded for clear beaded chargers) and included delicate bunches of babies breath to attach place cards to.

Want to smash cake in each other’s faces? Let us know so we can take your glamorous champagne toast portraits before you don your new “frosting.”

We cannot do what we do without the collaborative teams we work with. This wedding took place on the same day as an Ironman race that threatened to send the entire day off the rails. Thankfully the whole team stepped up and leaned in to make this day magical for Beth & Tyler.
